Artist Statement: When tasked with creating an alter ego, I thought about what would be the most fun for me to create while incorporating some side of my personality. I chose to reimagine myself as a demon because I want to show that all people have somewhat of a darker side to them. To illustrate that, I used images that portray me as angry or demonic. I incorporated colors like red, orange and yellow to get that dark and angry feel. While some of my photos show desperation and a darker side of my personality, others include some humor and fun. The images range from me with my buddies to me running through a dark forest. I think that it is important to show that all people have different sides to them whether that be dark or light. All of the works of art help illustrate the darker side of my personality.
